Hours: Full-Time
Summary: Provide leadership to the office administration function in accordance with the company’s strategic and operating plans within their assigned facility ensuring the following areas are handled: bookkeeping, office administration and support, personnel management, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
· Process all business activities through the branch computer systems and generate customer checks and buyer invoices, which may include remote processing. Maintain computer systems to be current with all UPI directives.
· Lead the preparation of bookkeeping packets and provide accounting reports as needed by management.
· Provide excellent customer service, by solving problems for customers and management as quickly and efficiently as possible.
· Manage accounts receivables, including set-up of new buyers through UPI’s application process and collecting delinquent accounts that may include calls to customers.
· Support the corporate office accounting department in reconciling general ledger accounts.
· Perform general administrative responsibilities, including, but not limited to processing expenses through the Corporate Accounts Payable department, preparing reports, mailings, etc. to support the facility.
· Process bi-weekly timesheets for hourly workers through the corporate office payroll department, assist in collecting new hire paperwork and workers compensation claims, and answer basic employee benefit questions per UPI’s HR policies and procedures.
· Manage the branch office personnel. This includes the following management responsibilities: recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee relations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Agribusiness, or related field preferred;
· 3-5 years of experience in office administration, bookkeeping, and accounting duties.
· Prior experience in the livestock industry preferred.
· Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
· Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and outlook required.
· Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, attention-to-detail, and organization skills.
Hours:
· Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
· Wednesday 8:00 am – 6:30 pm (Approximately)
· Friday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
